Playboy: The Mansion

Fair

Sounds like a great idea, but surely the Playboy lifestyle is more exciting than this. Read Review

Developed by Cyberlore Studios, Playboy: The Mansion is an adult-oriented management sim that blends various tycoon and social simulation gameplay mechanics with the glamour and regalia associated with the world's most famous men's magazine. As Hugh Hefner, players must strategically create the content of the Playboy publication including images and articles, as they adjust to an ever-changing market on a road filled with riches and fame. To do so, users must build their fantasy mansion from grounds to grotto, throw parties, rub shoulders with VIPs, and live up to the free-minded Playboy lifestyle. You can even interact with your guests, setup interviews and photo-shoots, and partake in more intimate activities that we cannot even begin to describe here.

The Consummate Playboy

We've always known that Playboy magazine founder, editor, and publisher Hugh Hefner was a player, we just never thought we'd get a chance to play like he does. But with Arush's sex-in-The-Sims-like Playboy: The Mansion game, we finally get to live out every man's fantasy: being Hugh Hefner. Still, nothing beats the real thing, as we found out when we headed up to the real Playboy mansion to chat with the man himself. Read More »

Playboy: The Mansion

PS2 Previews | Nov 22, 2004

Playboy: The Mansion was a pleasant surprise for me at E3 2004. I was fully expecting a vapid and gratuitous game that exploited the bunny brand. Instead I found a fairly engaging, surprisingly fun, and deceptively strategic title. It's similar to The Sims, but with less depth and a naughtier focus. I recently spent some hands-on time with the Xbox version of the game and found myself addicted to the social fishbowl the game lets you play around in. Read More »
