THQ today announced their fiscal 2005 World Wrestling Entertainment licensed videogame line-up. In addition to the previously announced WWE Day of Reckoning (GameCube, this fall), THQ plans to release WWE licensed videogames for the PlayStation 2, Xbox and Nintendo's Game Boy Advance. This year's WWE line-up includes WWE SmackDown! Vs. Raw for the PlayStation 2 from Yuke's; WWE WrestleMania 21 for the Xbox from Studio Gigante; WWE Survivor Series for the Game Boy Advance; and the previously announced WWE Day of Reckoning for the GameCube - also being developed by Yuke's.
WWE SmackDown! Vs. Raw is scheduled for release exclusively on PlayStation 2 for holiday 2004 and will feature the WWE's two biggest brands battling it out for supremacy. The game will feature all the wrestlers from both shows, new features and improved graphics.
WWE WrestleMania 21 is scheduled for release exclusively on Xbox in early 2005 and is being developed by Tao Feng developer Studio Gigante. The game will feature an improved graphics engine with several new game modes. WWE WrestleMania 21 will be released around the time of the WWE's next big wrestling event, WrestleMania.
Finally, WWE Survivor Series is scheduled for release exclusively on Game Boy Advance for holiday 2004. This game will mark the return of WWE licensed videogames to Nintendo's handheld system, and will feature a variety of match types with top WWE Superstars.
Expect to hear more about all these games during E3 next week.
