Soul Surfing was one of the earliest announced PlayStation 2 games and was scheduled to be the first PS2 software from Japanese developer Warashi. Unfortunately nothing about Soul Surfing was ever mentioned again following its original announcement, and Information pertaining as to what kind of title it was supposed to be hadn't been disclosed. It is believed that the game was originally a commission from SEGA to become what eventually became SEGA Rosso's Soul Surfer. But no official confirmation as to whether or not this is the case has ever come to light.
