It begins today: a worldwide search for a band and song that have what it takes to be included in Guitar Hero II. That's right, RedOctane is offering a chance for some lucky band to have a song of their own featured in the sequel to one of the greatest music games ever made. To qualify for entry into the Be a Guitar Hero contest, your song must qualify in the "hard rock" or "heavy metal" genre and feature a lead guitar. Submissions are taken through the official contest website.
The grand prize winner will not only have their song put into Guitar Hero II, they'll also receive copies of the games and a collection of instruments and equipment, such as an Epiphone G-400 Electric guitar, a Pacific Drums and Percussion CX Drumset, and other goodies. So get cranking.
