GameSpy: Does that make working on a game more fun or less fun?
CM: It doesn't really matter.
GameSpy: You've done quite a bit of voice work over the years. Besides all the aforementioned games and animated movies you also did the voice of Buck on Married With Children, and sold Cherokee hair tampons on South Park. What is it about voice acting that you like so much?
CM: It's kind of what I was trained to do. Because we were doing so many characters, the early Cheech & Chong albums were kind of like animation without the animation.
GameSpy: Besides Cars, you're also doing a voice in the Scarface game. How did that come about?
CM: They called me up and said they were doing a video game of Scarface, so I said, "Oh really?"
GameSpy: Were you interested in doing it because of the movie?
CM: Yeah, that movie is so over the top.
GameSpy: That game actually boasts a rather impressive cast, including James Wood, Ricky Gervais, and Elliot Gould. Do you think that the way Hollywood views video games, and acting in them, has changed over the years?

CM: Oh absolutely. It's a much bigger arena now, so it's a lot more accepted these days.
GameSpy: Was there anything about the voice sessions for Cars that was really different about the voice sessions for Scarface?
CM: Well, the attitude was definitely different. Heh heh heh. It was much darker.
GameSpy: Now I'm not going to dwell on this too much, but I did want to ask you about the fact that your old pal Tommy Chong is doing a voice for Scarface as well…
CM: Is he? I didn't know that.
GameSpy: You didn't?
CM: No, I didn't.
GameSpy: Oh. Okay. Well, I was going to ask if that was intentional or a coincidence, but instead, I'd like to ask if you've ever been approached about doing a Cheech & Chong game.
CM: Yeah, and I don't know, somehow it never happens. We had a deal with one guy, but then he just disappeared.
GameSpy: So what is going on with you and Tommy? Because I heard you were going to do a new Cheech & Chong movie, and then you weren't.
CM: Yeah, we're not. We've tried to do it so many times, but it always comes back to the same point where we can't work together, so I've kind of given up on it.
GameSpy: Ah well. So when you're not working on these video games, do you ever play them?
CM: No, not since Pong. I used to play with my son, but he got bored playing with me in the first grade because we'd play some basketball game, and he'd beat me 50-0.
